It's already started, but I wanted to give a heads up ( and shout out ) to those that were going to participate. I'm going to try to remain caught up and still post, but I'm going to try and complete this year too. Try to make it a two year streak. 8D

Here be my profile on the site if you'd want to add me as a writing buddy. Good luck to those also writing and to those that are busy with life. :3

Life can be a pain sometimes. I hope everything works out for you and though you busy it doesn't seem to be a terrible busy, just a work busy. Take care of yourself until you get to return to us.

:excited: I love the haunting of hill house. They're doing so many things right. I've actually had to pause it a couple of times, or hide behind my hands, because I just... know.... it's gonna be bad. Or I jump and freak out. XD

OOC Hang Out / OOC NaNoWriMo Prep
« on: October 13, 2018, 11:40:31 AM »
It's still the middle of October, but that also had me thinking- it's the middle of October. I already have an idea of what I'm going to do, but I was wondering who else was going to participate. :3 If you had prep to do, or if you're just going to wing it.

As before, I'm happy to set up a pacemaker for those of us who want to do this together. <3

Also, I really thought that this was a neat offer from Tapas ( It's a place I sometimes read things from ).

Tis the season for horror movies and I've been on a kick.

I absolutely loved this movie. Loved it. It is definitely not the normal horror movie since it's set in the colonial, very religious times and it preys more on those fears than, say, slasher movies. But it does so very well. Also. The ending, man. The ending.

I should preface this with I love almost all the saw movies. They're definitely twisted, certainly gory, and I like them for that. This movie is no different. I also felt like this movie was a call back to the original movie ( hence the name? ) and I really like it for that. There was about... 5 mins toward the end I didn't like... but beyond that, it was a nice, solid horror movie.

There's a couple things about this one. The name is sorta stupid, it's by IFC Films which, when you've seen as many horror movies as I have, is usually an indication you're in for... well, a "movie". It's a pretty cliche set up - goth kid is goth. (( She's wearing a H.I.M. shirt in one shot. I enjoyed that >_> )) And a lot of it comes across as.. whiny? Not really horror-movie esque. But it ramps up and some of the creepy parts are legit creepy.

Also, I really enjoy how it ended. Definitely a good movie just for that.

and Fourth

I digged this one. It did some neat stuff, had some of those creepy "oh look, weird shit is happening in the background" moments. Love the atmosphere of the movie and the scares are good.

Next up? Netflix has The Haunting of Hill House >:3

Pretty self explanatory. Just a silly thread of... well. Yeah. 8D Share!

Long, long time ago, I was going to join a starwars RP. It was new and fancy and shiny, and I wanted a new and fancy name that wasn't associated to, say, my fantasy rp stuff. I also wanted a name I could use that wouldn't pop up with the whole "that name is taken" other places. I messed around with a lot of opposite-ish names, cause I liked the idea of it. Eventually, through thesaurus-ing and creativity, I came upon SanctifiedSavage. I loved it so much, I've been using it for the better part of.... err.... years. 5+

I used to go by Countess, and a couple of other names, because I thought they were  pretty or neat. Just something I liked. However >_> In a lot of places, most were taken or too fantasy-ish that people couldn't figure out how to say them or relate to them. Hence me wanting something that would be uniquely mine and... easy to recognize.

@Jarakrisafis I think it'll be fun to toss Meyelthra at Kyrrin in the gambling den, if you're up for it. She'll arrive late and be all "heeeeeeeeeeeyyyy, buy me a drink? 8D"

I caught ahold of this and wanted to pass it along. I haven't read the book or anything but thought it was still sorta neat.

Also, movie? o.o

Also, I just wanna quote this because... yeah. That's pretty much it, isn't it?

A very long time ago, someone asked my mom, "Why dragons?" She said, "What would it be like if you were never ever alone ever again? What would it be like if you had a sentient relationship that was completely unconditional? That you had a bond with another creature that nothing bar death could break it? They loved you warts and all."

It only took me forever, but I think I have an idea. It'll probably work best for when she was a candidate, but you'd wanted to throw her at someone who might not be the friendliest or the like. Vassatiere is certainly that girl, for me. She's very reserved and doesn't exactly know what friend is, but it'd be neat to see how they might interact while they're both candidates. ;3

Through grit and spit and spit and grit and stick-to-it-ness, we now can just... test gradient codes on the site. Alahn did magic.

Anyways, here's the code. 8D

I'll be adding and updating the first post in this thread too.

Heya lovely,

@Phoenyx has picked up B'nyn's adoptive sister so I thought it might be fun to do a meet and greet between her and Velatha. If you're interested, I can set up the thread shortly after her and B'nyn would've started seeing one another - cause he would've been really excited to introduce them to one another.  Lemme know if you think that sounds good. If it do, I can get the thread set up.

OOC Hang Out / Re: SWW Trivia
« on: September 28, 2018, 05:20:11 PM »

Scheduled live trivia times would be kinda neat but probably very difficult for everyone to participate. Maybe there could be some compromise with non-reward trivia or somethin'.

Since it'd be through google forms, there's no 'time frame' or live participation. We'd probably just have a stickied thread with links to the google form of the various quizzes we come up with. Since the answers aren't made public, people can participate at any time and we can award eggs as people pass. 8D We can also PM them if they've missed one or whatever and allow them to correct the question to eventually get the egg so that it does become available to everyone. If that sounds good?

Want to give a lovely shout out to the new people divin' in, makin' lovely characters. It's great to see people getting inspired and creating things with us.

And of course I love the people who have stuck around all this time. Where would I be without you all?

« on: September 28, 2018, 10:16:17 AM »
This was something I was idly thinking about, and I think it's been tossed up a couple of times, but we thought it might be neat to do a couple different quizzes. I'd thought about running it through google forms, so the answers won't be posted publicly or anything, and we'd just award eggs ( because that's how we roll  ) and people can PM us questions they think would be neat to include. This way, new people could eventually participate - if they wanted, since the answers wouldn't be public anywhere - and it'd just be something fun.

I'd probably want to restrict the questions to things that could be found on the site since Pern information in general can be so conflicting and contradictory. Buut... other than that, whatcha guys think?

I was talkin' to Drew about this is discord. Just finished the Alone Series on Hulu. Takes 10 dudes and drops them out on Vancouver Island with 10 items and sees who lasts the longest. I like shows like that because I'm a sadist. XD
